Christian Sobrino
Mr. Sobrino is a corporate attorney, financial executive and consultant who held various high-ranking positions in the Executive Branch of the Puerto Rico Government, including Governor’s Chief Economic Development Advisor and Representative to the Financial Oversight and Management Board; Chairman and Executive Director of the Financial Advisory and Fiscal Agency Authority of Puerto Rico, Chairman of the Puerto Rico Infrastructure Financing Authority, Public Private Partnership Authority and Government Retirement Board, amongst others. During his tenure in public service, Sobrino led a series of reform initiatives for the Executive Branch, including the establishment of a private non-profit destination marketing organization; winding down the Government Development Bank; leading public debt restructuring and liability management transactions; energy sector regulatory reform and the privatization of the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority. Prior to entering public service, Mr. Sobrino worked in the corporate departments of the two principal corporate law firms in San Juan, as well as forming part of the policy shop for the campaigns of former Gov. Luis Fortuño in 2012 and former Gov. Ricardo Rosselló in 2016. Mr. Sobrino is also commonly consulted in the media on public administration, fiscal policy, and economic development matters. He holds a B.A. from Boston University and a J.D. from the University of Puerto Rico.
